Happy Friday! I hope you have had a wonderful and successful week. Today marks my last day of full-time corporate employment. I am nervous of what is to come since this is all I have known the past 6 years, but I am excited for the new adventures that are sure to come my way!
This week, I wanted to share a roundup of my favorite things from the week. They will all be from different categories, so let me know what you think of posts like these. I am completely open to your suggestions and feedback. Here we go!
Favorite Book – Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
This book is about a family who were separated and sent to Concentration Camps during World War 2, but it isn’t the Nazi’s who are sending the Jewish families away, it’s the French Police. The story starts out at the scene of one of the most heartbreaking pieces of French history, that is seldom spoken of. Sarah locks her brother in a secret cabinet to hide him from the French Police when her family is taken away. With twists and turns on every page the story is heart-wrenching and inspiring. A great read..
Favorite Blog – Just a Girl and Her Blog
This week I have been reading this blog a lot! She offers a lot of tips for new bloggers, but also this blog is mostly about home decor and organization. She has created a lot of beautiful projects, I definitely recommend you check her out!
Favorite Snack – “Sundae”
I kind of made this one up, but I think it’s delicious. Strawberries have been sweet here in Southern California the past few weeks, so I have been eating them like candy. I take a 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese, 5 sliced strawberries, and some chocolate chips and put them all together in a bowl. It may sound a little strange, but I promise it’s a great treat! I sometimes drizzle a little honey on it too. 🙂
Favorite Workout Gear – Essential Banded Tank by Under Armour
I love this tank! It’s supportive enough for yoga and Pilates, but has a cute little opening in the back. The material is soft but moisture wicking. It is also not too low cut, and as someone with a bit of a chest, it’s so nice to find a built-in bra top that supports and covers. Run over the their website and check it out!
I also created this free download this week, with one of my favorite quotes from the beautiful Audrey Hepburn. You can right click and save this image, and set it as the home screen or desktop background of your phone. I hope you enjoy!
I would love to hear from you. What favorites categories would you like me to share? What are some of your favorite items?
